Biometric attendance and payroll for multi-site teams
Ships publicly as ZT Biometrics
A workforce platform that reads attendance straight from ZKTeco biometric terminals and carries it through shifts, leave and discipline into payroll — built for organisations running staff across many branches.
The problems it was built for
A company with guards or crews across dozens of client sites cannot verify who actually turned up. Attendance arrives as a photograph of a paper register, and a register can be written by anyone.
Attendance is captured at the site by the ZKTeco terminals already on the wall, so the record is created by the person clocking in rather than transcribed afterwards by someone with an opinion about it. Fingerprint, face and card verification all count.
Attendance software that syncs overnight tells you about a no-show the next morning, and manual device exports mean somebody drives to each branch with a USB stick.
A small on-site agent holds a steady link to each terminal and streams punches up as they happen — no nightly sync and no manual exports. If the local network drops, punches replay when the link returns rather than disappearing.
Payroll is rebuilt by hand every month from those registers. It takes days, it contains errors, and nobody can reconstruct how a given figure was reached.
Attendance flows straight through shifts, leave and overtime into payroll, including statutory deductions and payslip generation. Month-end becomes a review rather than a reconstruction.
A deduction is disputed and there is nothing to point at. The supervisor remembers one thing, the employee another, and the argument is settled by seniority.
Standard operating procedures, acknowledgements, and discipline records live alongside the attendance data, so a deduction can be shown to follow a rule the employee accepted — which is what makes it defensible.
Head office learns about a no-show at a client site the following week, usually from the client.
Alerts and push notifications on attendance exceptions, so a missing shift surfaces while there is still time to send somebody.

Common questions
What kind of attendance hardware does XL-Attendance work with?
ZKTeco biometric terminals — F-series, K-series, MB-series and compatible devices — reading fingerprint, face and card verifications directly from the units already installed at each site. If you have ZKTeco terminals on the wall, they are the input.
Do punches arrive in real time, or as an overnight sync?
In real time. An on-site agent keeps a live link to each terminal and streams punches as they happen, so a missed shift is visible immediately rather than the following morning. Punches replay automatically if the local network drops.
Does it handle payroll as well as attendance?
Yes. Attendance carries through to shifts, leave and overtime and into payroll, with statutory deductions, salary adjustments, advances and payslip generation.
Can it manage staff across many different sites?
Yes — it is built for it. Employees, branches, shifts and supervision are modelled per site, so an organisation deploying staff to many client locations manages them all in one place.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, an Android app for staff alongside the web dashboard used by administrators and supervisors.
